Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020

Happy August! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here!

Although this year has been the craziest one with everything going on, I feel like it is moving insanely fast! I cannot believe it is August already. Jackson will be 3 weeks old this Friday, and that in itself baffles me, where has the time gone?!

Anyway, back to what we are here for! It is finally Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale!!!! I look forward to this every year to get some items for fall at a discounted price. They are usually items I have had my eye on. I tend to wait until I see some of them go on sale because lets be real, I do not want to pay full price lol. I will also be adding some dupes for some of my picks, incase they are sold out by the time we can shop the sale. I did this last year, which you can find here, and you guys loved it!

I have some of the items from previous years so I will try and share some of those from my last years post! If not, I will try and do a quick try on if the items fit and if I can find them with moving and all! I was hoping to be able to get to Nordstrom to try some things on, but with COVID-19 and having a new born, that just cannot happen!

Important Dates to Note:

  • August 4th – Icon level cardholders get to shop the sale.
  • August 7th – Ambassador level cardholders get to shop the sale.
  • August 10th – Influencers level cardholders get to shop the sale.
  • August 13th– All Nordstrom cardholders get to shop the sale before it opens to the public.
  • August 19 – The sale is finally open to the public! Everyone can shop the sale (including me!!).

Also, I just want to note: Please DO NOT feel like you need to open a credit card to be able to shop it early and get what you want. I do not believe in opening credit cards to just “get a sale.” I myself do NOT have the card and will be shopping along with the public. So please do not feel like you need to get a credit card!!!

Tips for Successful Shopping:

  • Go onto Nordstrom and preview the sale. You can save the items you like to a wish list, which you can access and find the items quicker when you are able to shop.
  • If you are unsure a size will fit you, I recommend buying at least two sizes. Nordstrom has an awesome return policy and you can easily return items for free in store or by mail. I always over order just to make sure I can get the correct size.

Not it is time for my picks! I have been eyeing a bunch of these pieces for a while, so I am hoping I can get my hands on some of them but even if I can’t that is okay!

What’s In My Hospital Bag?

Hi Loves!!

This is probably one of my most requested blog posts as of late haha! It is definitely not perfect and I am probably missing stuff or packing too much, but this is what I picked after reading a ton of sites and talking to family, friends, and some L&D nurses. I can’t believe we are due so soon!! I will be leaving everything in the garage or in the basement so that if we need it, we just grab it and go!

Something I added on last minute is extra masks to have on hand and some sanitizing wipes. We will need them to at least enter the hospital and while anyone is in our room, so I figured having a few would be best. I am also overly cautious when it comes to protection against the virus so figured I would just be safe!

I will also share towards the end of the post the baskets I put together for the L&D nurses and the Postpartum Nurses.

John is really easy going so I just packed 3 shorts, three t-shirts, and toiletries for him. I also packed one “nicer outfit” for when we go home, because I know I will want some nice pictures 🙂

First Trimester: Pregnancy Must Haves

Hi Loves!

I have been getting a bunch of questions on my pregnancy must haves thus far, so figured I would put it all in one place! The first trimester, you start to go through a lot of changes and it is good to have some things on hand. If you are thinking of having kids in the future, TTC, or currently pregnant, this post is for you!

1 | Pregnancy Pillow

Okay, so I thought it would be dumb to get this in the first trimester, but as your body begins to change, sleeping gets extremely uncomfortable. I literally couldn’t sleep during the second month because I couldn’t get comfortable. I cuddle with this thing and it helps with having to sleep on my sides. I was a chronic back sleeper so it was hard getting used to sleeping on my side, but this helped for sure.

2 | Belly Butter

I have been using this belly butter since I found out I was pregnant. It is such a hydrating lotion and works so well. I think it has helped prevent stretch marks thus far and I highly recommend it. I also use it on the top of my breasts and it has helped there too!

3 | Hand Cream – Very Dry Skin

I have had the WORST dry skin. Not only on my legs and arms but my hands! Usually people are commenting that my hands are the softest hands, but pregnancy hit and that was no longer the case! My hands were so dry they were sticking to things and cracking and bleeding. This has helped my hands so much, I use it 3 times a day- morning, noon and night. It is so good that after a month my hands went back to normal.

4 | Comfortable Leggings

Comfortable leggings are 10000% a must. Your stomach is starting to grow and you tighter pants will no loner be comfortable. I got a bunch of these from amazon before pregnancy and they have been stretching along with me and are so good!

5 | Pregnancy Journal & Memory Book

Everything happens so fast and goes so fast so having a place to write it all own will not only help with future pregnancies but also its a memory booklet. I have this one and am loving it. I documented things and also put my ultrasound pictures in it.

6 | Water Jug

This may sound stupid but this has been the only thing to keep me on track with drinking water. It is sooooo important to stay hydrated and I make sure to drink two or three of these a day! It is 50oz and keeps my water cold legit all day.

7 | Belly Band

Another must have? This belly band. I got it in a medium (6-10) so when my stomach grew larger I could still wear it. It was a little big in the beginning but we are getting there! So easy to use to wear over my unbuttoned jeans so I do not have to get maternity wear yet!

Hope this helps you navigate through your first trimester. Don’t be too hard on yourself and just enjoy it all!

XOXO,

Nina

Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals 2019

Happy shopping loves! Honestly the sales that go on this time of the year are beyond anything and are so great for when you need gifts or have been eyeing something but don’t want to drop a ton of money on it. I will update things as sales and deals are announced. I will also include my favorite items.

I am going to categorize it but online shops, retailers and online boutiques. I will include the sale (and update it if it continues to get better) then towards the bottom of the post I will re-list the shops and include some of my favorite pieces. If you hover over the image you can see its price. It may change and the items may not populate the actual price so be sure to click them and see if the price has changed!

I will also be adding images if I currently own the items 🙂

Found It On Amazon Friday – 11/22/19

Happy Friday!! You know what today is 🙂 Going to count out the clothing and then link the other items below.

#1 | Orange Sweater Dress

Seriously so cute for Thanksgiving and it’s prime so you would get it in time. I would suggest staying with your normal size. I ordered a medium in fear it would be very tight and it was actually big so I re-ordered for a small.

#2 | Two Tone Sweater

This totally reminds me of the A&F one! I love the navy and the grey. The neck buttons are kind of annoying if you do not snap it up all the way but its honestly a really warm sweater and super cute. Wearing a small.

#3 | Beige Sweater

I LOVE this one. I would put a bralette underneath and just wear it like it is. I love it paired with jeans but would also be cute with a skirt. Wearing a small.

#4 | Tweed Skirt

I thought I ordered something more form fitting, but I was actually pleasantly surprised with this and am keeping it for sure. It zips up but is also stretchy. Wearing a small in this. So cute for the holidays. I couldn’t find any of my bodysuits but you can pair it with things other than white.

#5 | Camo Leggings

Wearing a medium and love them. I already shared these in black but wanted to share these as well.

XO,

Nina

Gift Guide: The Avid Traveler

Happy Gift Guide Time!! This one is for the avid traveler in your life, the one who loves to travel in style 🙂

#1 | Travel Hangers

There have been so many times I have been away and the hotel only has ONE hanger. When I get somewhere I like to hang some of my stuff up. Having these when I went to Florida was such a big help and allowed me to hang things up when I wanted/needed to.

______________________________________________________________________________

#2 | Makeup Case

Not only is this leopard case the cutest, but I always find it helpful to have a large and affordable makeup case with me when I travel. This one fits it all!

______________________________________________________________________________

#3 | Packing Cubes

These literally are the best and help you pack better and make more room for things. I swear I have used this the last 3 times I traveled and will never make the mistake of not using them again. I was able to organize, keep things neat, and pack more!

______________________________________________________________________________

#4 | Passport Case/ Luggage Tag

It always makes travel that much better to have cute accessories, and that is why I love this set. I love the color and style of them and love how it comes with a case.

______________________________________________________________________________

#5 | In Flight Organizer

THIS IS THE BEST INVENTION EVER. LEGIT. This seriously is a life saver. If you are a germophobe like me and hate when your things touch the seat pocket, this was made for you. I literally put everything in here and it then doesn’t touch the seat and I don’t have to freak about germs. The last few times I have flown and had this with me I got so many compliments on it and got asked where I got it from (HI if you now follow me :))

______________________________________________________________________________

#6 | Glow & Get it Eye Balm

I have talked about this a lot, but need to lol I swear by this stuff when I travel. It brightens up and hydrates my under eyes and works so well with or without makeup.

______________________________________________________________________________

#7 | Jewelry Case

This fits it all. It has a place for rings, necklaces, and everything you could need. I always have this with me in my carry on to keep my jewelry with me.

______________________________________________________________________________

#8 | Carry-On Luggage

I love having something bright or different as my carry on luggage because that is just me. But I love hard cover luggage and love this color!

______________________________________________________________________________

#9 | Pillow

I just ordered this for myself.. I cannot sleep on planes and can never get comfortable and love how this has a space for your arms and head.

XOXO,

Nina
