Thanksgiving Vibes

I love Thanksgiving colors and this outfit is giving me major thanksgiving vibes! I am OBSESSED with these Stuart Weitzman “Hiline Boots.” I have them in 3 colors and wear them all the time, and any chance I can. This skirt is surprisingly stretchy and extremely comfortable! I got a size 6 and should have gone with a size 4! This shirt… is AMAZING. It is old but the details on the top are adorable and perfect for casual or dressed up!

I will link some dupes for the OTK boots as well!

Bringing out the Tan & Red

I have been obsessed with the flowy pants look lately (wide legged). I wore a pair in the summer and got so many compliments on them, that I knew I needed to get more. I got these from Joyce Leslie which no longer exists but will link ones like it below. The shoes are a repeat because they are so comfortable and I am obsessed with them. The Lace-up look is so in right now and they are perfect with every type of outfit.

This top I got a few years ago and tend to wear it with high waisted jeans but it goes PERFECTLY with this top. I will link similar options below!

Tan and red go so well together, and compliment each other so nicely!

Winter Date Night Outfit

Loving this off the shoulder outfit! We went out for my brother in laws birthday last night, so i wanted something dressy yet casual!

This sweater is so incredibly warm! It comes in three colors and is perfect with jeans, a skirt, or leather leggings! I have it tucked in! It runs a bit on the larger size. I am wearing a medium but could have done a small based on the size of it!

I was also pleasantly surprised that the shoes were so comfortable! I got them last year and forgot about them until last night.

If you all know me, you know that I love to work out. Since high school, I would work out daily and eat healthy. My friends used to call me a rabbit, but I jut genuinely liked being healthy and fueling my body with the right nutrients and products. About three years ago I got into a car accident that made my anxiety surface. I would have severe panic attacks to the point where I wouldn’t leave the house. I ended up going to the doctor and getting medication so that I could get to work, get out of the house, and out my funk. The doctor prescribed me lexapro which really messed with me. In a matter of 3 months, I gained 50 pounds. This medication also made me depressed. When I realized my clothes weren’t fitting, I took myself off my medication and started this never ending fitness journey to get back into shape. I have lost about 25 of the 50 pound weight gain and am still fighting to lose the rest. Check out my workouts page for various workouts I am doing and what I am trying!

The products above are ones that I have come to love and use daily. Sometimes I can’t get to the gym until late after work so the pre-workout gives me the energy to kill my workout!

Let me know below if you have ever tried any of their products or if you would try them!

About Me

Hi Guys! Thanks for visiting Water & Wine! I’m Nina, I was born and raised in New Jersey, and am 100% Greek! Here are some commonly asked questions and my answers so you can all get to know me a little better!

My husband John & I live in Northern, New Jersey. We were both born and raised in NJ. John is from Central Jersey originally and I am from North Jersey! When we graduated college, I lived on my own near our school for a little before John and I decided to move in together. Since then, he has stayed up north!

I started blogging in February 2018 as a way for me to share my favorite items and sales, so that other people can find the same too! Friends are always asking me how I do my hair, makeup, where I find some of the clothes I wear, what fitness thing I am trying now, so I thought it would be fun to start posting about it to maybe help others out along my journey!

I have my Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. I previously worked as an auditor for a public accounting firm for four years. From the months of January-May/June I worked up to 75 hours a week auditing companies financial statements. I am currently working as an accountant for an insurance company. The hours are definitely better!

My husband, John,  has in Bachelors in Business Management and his Masters in Business.  In January of 2017, John started his own business “Blue Nail LLC.” Blue Nail does everything from Roofs, siding, and windows to bathrooms, flooring, kitchen remodels. If you are in New Jersey and are in need of any of the mentioned, check out his website! His company does a phenomenal job and I am not just saying that because I am his wife 🙂 Website: Blue Nail LLC

John and I met at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I was a sophomore and John was a Junior, I had just joined a sorority, ZTA, and our “brother” fraternity was his fraternity, PSK. Him and a few brothers were in the cafeteria when I was on a sister date. John called me new girl because he never saw me on campus before. Fast forward to the first weekend of my Junior Year (Fall 2012) and the first weekend of his Senior Year, and I walked into what I did not know was his room and saw him. We connected through facebook and the rest is history. We fell in love and new we couldn’t live without each other. I had found my soulmate and the one whom I had been searching for my whole life. We got married on September 3, 2017 and had the most beautiful wedding.

I had been trying to think of a blog name since early 2017, and refused to start one until I had the perfect name. My husband randomly said to me on February 8, 2018 “what about Water & Wine” Water can be the health, fitness, wellness aspect of your blog while Wine is the finer things such as beauty, fashion, travel, etc. I loved the name so much. I felt like it perfectly encompassed me and everything I wanted for this blog and it just so happened that a few nights later we celebrated Valentine’s Day early and did a wine and paint night, the painting was “all you need is love & wine” I changed it to “water and wine” and thought it would be perfect to remember the start of this journey!
