The New and Improved Water & Wine Site!

It is finally done and finally here, welcome to the new and improved Water & Wine!

Thanks to Blogerize, I now have the website I have been wanting but didn’t know how to do it! Back in October, Emily from Blogerize reached out to me asking if I would like to collab for a blog makeover and I was so excited! At first, I was a little apprehensive because I know how expensive a blog makeover could be, and they were offering it for free! I quickly did some research and read some reviews and realized how awesome this opportunity was, and I jumped on it! Then began the design process.

Emily and I emailed back and forth for a few days discussing what I was looking for in a blog, what colors and overall flow I wanted for my readers, and some other questions relating to my design. We also discussed my webhost. At the time, I was using wordpress.com with a premium account. In order to set up the blog I wanted I either needed a business plan or I needed to host my site elsewhere. After checking the price of a business account, I decided to go with Siteground, as my hosting site. I still have the premium account and just host my site on Siteground which is WAY cheaper. I pay a few dollars a month on Siteground and still am able to do things through WordPress.

Once this was set up, Emily moved my site to be hosted on Siteground, and we were able to add things like widgets! Then we started the actual design. Her team set up a design and sent it over. I knew the overall flow I wanted, so Emily really worked with me to make it EXACTLY what I wanted. It may have taken a bit long, but Emily was so patient with my crazy schedule and really worked with me to get it done.

Prior to working with Emily and Blogerize, I had set up a random template from Blogerize and really just did whatever to get it started never really knowing how to make it into what I wanted. I always loved having my topics with pictures from previous posts at the top and having categories that were easy to maneuver through and understand! I also wanted the sides to have recent posts, my instagram recent posts, and to include clickable buttons to be able to follow me on all social media accounts, if my followers wanted to.

My experience with blogerize has been absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend them. I think it is so important to work with someone that is responsive, eager to help and teach you, and someone who will still respond/help once the design is done. To this day, I still ask Emily questions and she answers them and helps me without a problem!

Thank you Blogerize for this awesome experience!!!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! It’s the one season I look forward to all year long; the leaves start changing, the weather cools off a little, pumpkin & apple picking, etc. Decorating for fall has always been my favorite thing to do (& Christmas!). Today I’m sharing with you my fall front porch decor as well as my go-to fall outfit- a bodysuit, skirt, & OTK boots. Riley has finally made her debut on the blog. She is such a beautiful brown/copper color and I love it!

Today I woke up with a cold which is the only downside of colder weather. I’m also super excited because my husbands desk finally came in so he no longer has to work on our dining room table or a foldable table! Can’t wait to finally set our office up completely!

What’s your week looking like? Do you love the fall weather? What’s your favorite thing about fall?

The White Lace Mini You Need In Your Life

Even though summer is over and they tell you not to where white after Labor Day, I tend to break the rules and still wear white. The weather is still warm, and some people live in weather that stays warm year round and white is always a good option to have!

This weekend, my husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. A year ago Monday, we said I do in front of our family and friends and it all still feels like a dream. This has been the best year of my life and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us! But anyway, I wanted to dress in white for our anniversary dinner and couldn’t wait to where this little white dress again! It’s so pretty and perfect for a bridal occasion or just to where out!

The heels I paired it with are Stuart Weitzman, which are an old pair that they unfortunately no longer sell. To accessorize, I wore a diamond necklace, the beautiful diamond earrings my husband gave me as a wedding gift, and a light grey/white clutch.

I wore this dress for my friends Bachelorette Party this past weekend in Montauk, and got so many compliments on it. I unfortunately did not get any good pictures of me in at that night, the weather was so cold and rainy there, so not very good for photos! But, that wouldn’t keep me from sharing this beautiful dress 🙂 I realized that this is the perfect little dress to wear to a wedding, or a party, or anything really!

I get a lot of stuff from Lola Shoetique, including this dress. I have so many shoes from there and a few clothing items as well. I purchased this last year and was so happy to see it on their site still because it is truly so beautiful!

Would you wear this LBD?

So I was not sure about this at first. When I ordered it, I thought it was a dress, but when I received it, I realized it was a two piece set. The material is really nice and the floral design is truly beautiful. It fit nicely and I ended up really liking it. I would probably wear this to a graduation party or events like that. It is perfect for spring or summer and was very comfortable. My mom hated it in the package actually but when I put it on she said it actually looked cute and would look cute with a bow or clip in my hair!

The weather has been horrible in NJ lately so I have not been able to take picture outside- don’t mind my fireplace and wall LOL. But I did end up loving this two piece!

Would you wear this?

Not sure about everyone, but I am always cold on the airplane and when traveling. Between the airport and the plane, no matter the season, it is always chilly, and I love to travel in warm comfy clothes. I always look for travel outfits that are both comfy and cute, and love this one!

This is actually a sweat jumpsuit but doesn’t have that thick material that a sweatshirt and sweatpants would have. It is so incredibly comfortable and I love the off the shoulder aspect and the cut open knees! It’s literally perfect for traveling.

I have wider hips so I always worry about items like this that they would be too tight so I ordered a large and regret it I’m usually a medium in most things like this but didn’t know how it would come, and I had to really tight tight on the waistband and pin it in the back from the inside. I would suggest going with your normal size and looking at the measurements on the site. I will most likely be returning us for a medium since I know that would fit better!

What kind of outfit do you like to travel? Let me know in the comments below!

Nina
