The New and Improved Water & Wine Site!

It is finally done and finally here, welcome to the new and improved Water & Wine!

Thanks to Blogerize, I now have the website I have been wanting but didn’t know how to do it! Back in October, Emily from Blogerize reached out to me asking if I would like to collab for a blog makeover and I was so excited! At first, I was a little apprehensive because I know how expensive a blog makeover could be, and they were offering it for free! I quickly did some research and read some reviews and realized how awesome this opportunity was, and I jumped on it! Then began the design process.

Emily and I emailed back and forth for a few days discussing what I was looking for in a blog, what colors and overall flow I wanted for my readers, and some other questions relating to my design. We also discussed my webhost. At the time, I was using wordpress.com with a premium account. In order to set up the blog I wanted I either needed a business plan or I needed to host my site elsewhere. After checking the price of a business account, I decided to go with Siteground, as my hosting site. I still have the premium account and just host my site on Siteground which is WAY cheaper. I pay a few dollars a month on Siteground and still am able to do things through WordPress.

Once this was set up, Emily moved my site to be hosted on Siteground, and we were able to add things like widgets! Then we started the actual design. Her team set up a design and sent it over. I knew the overall flow I wanted, so Emily really worked with me to make it EXACTLY what I wanted. It may have taken a bit long, but Emily was so patient with my crazy schedule and really worked with me to get it done.

Prior to working with Emily and Blogerize, I had set up a random template from Blogerize and really just did whatever to get it started never really knowing how to make it into what I wanted. I always loved having my topics with pictures from previous posts at the top and having categories that were easy to maneuver through and understand! I also wanted the sides to have recent posts, my instagram recent posts, and to include clickable buttons to be able to follow me on all social media accounts, if my followers wanted to.

My experience with blogerize has been absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend them. I think it is so important to work with someone that is responsive, eager to help and teach you, and someone who will still respond/help once the design is done. To this day, I still ask Emily questions and she answers them and helps me without a problem!

Thank you Blogerize for this awesome experience!!!

Black Friday Haul Part 1

Hi Babes!

Happy almost Friday! Is it just me or has this week been dragging on?! I finally got some stuff in that I ordered on Black Friday and figured I would do a Haul for you. I also did a try on session in my stories on Instagram (@waterandwine_) so be sure to check it out!

Anyway, I was really looking for sweaters and cute but casual tops on Black Friday. Ones that can easily be dresses up and down depending on my mood or my plans. I’ll share all sizing info as well and will do another Haul when the rest of my stuff comes in! I ordered a few more things.

Outfit 1: Top, Jeans, Boots

Outfit 2: Top, Faux Leather Spanx, Booties

Outfit 3: Top

Outfit 4: Jacket

Outfit 1: I was looking for a top I could wear with a skirt for either work or everyday that wasn’t too low cut! Target definitely delivered. I would suggest sizing down in this. I thought it would be tight but it was kind of lose. I also thought I ordered the small but I got a medium so I am going to exchange it! The jeans I have had and I am wearing a 27 (size 4). These boots are so cute! They are Jessica Simpson and go to the shin. They are cute to wear with either jeans or a dress/skirt! They are TTS and I’m wearing my normal a 9.5!

Outfit 2: So I am slightly obsessed with this top. I really wanted it in black as well, but I waited to long and it was sold out. It’s the perfect little sweater top if you are hanging out or traveling. It’s extremely light weight and can be dressed up or down. I’m wearing a small here! The spanx faux leather leggings will likely become my favorite go tos. I’m so glad I invested in them. They really suck you in! I am wearing a medium. Lastly, I’ve blogged about my shoes before but I love these Calvin booties! I’m wearing a size 9.5 and they are TTS.

Outfit 3: Another Target find! Love this little casual sweater. The slits on the side make it a little dressier and it’s so comfortable!

Outfit 4: I wasn’t sure about this coat when I first got it but I LOVE it! I ordered a medium hoping I could layer underneath, and I totally can! I think it would look good with jeans or a dress!

What do you think of the outfits? Also let me know what you think of these blog posts of the hauls in the comments below!

Gift Guide For Him: Gifts Under $50

ONE // TWO // THREE // FOUR // FIVE // SIX // SEVEN // EIGHT // NINE

Happy Monday Everyone!

Back with the gift guides today and couldn’t wait to share this one. I had my husband in mind and kept thinking of things he needs & loves. I know with Christmas and the various gifts we all buy, we always look for items that are perfect for that somebody, but didn’t want to break the bank.

ONE: A tool kit is perfect for that special someone. We have so many tool sets around the house so if we ever need it, we never have to go crazy looking for one. Black & Decker has always been a good company, so you can’t go wrong with this set!

TWO: Cozy sweatshirt that is north face and reasonably priced?! How can you beat it?

THREE: I actually thought about my dad when I found these slippers. His feet are always cold even if he has socks on, so I picked these up for him for Christmas!

FOUR: I love this winter hat. The quality is amazing and it is really nice in person.

FIVE & SIX: Anyone else have a guy in their life that loves whiskey? My husband is a huge whiskey lover and he always uses these glasses that I got him last year. This year I picked up these whiskey spheres for him because he always says the ice waters his drinks down. Perfect for whiskey lovers!

SEVEN: Charcoal wash, cream shave and moisturizer.. perfect for this winter weather and the perfect care for everyday!

EIGHT: I love the way sweaters layered over a button down look and think this one is perfect to dress up or down!

NINE: So these are actually $65 but are on sale for $47. I got my husband these gloves last year and he loves them! They are perfect for when you are dressing up and its cold out!

Which gift is your favorite?

XO,

Nina
